Jharsuguda: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has launched ‘Agni Jagrukta Abhiyaan’, a monthly safety awareness programme extending its safety-first culture from the workplace to the homes of employees and business partners.
The initiative focuses on practical domestic safety, including fire prevention, safe use of LPG cylinders, electrical safety and emergency preparedness.
A key feature is live fire safety demonstrations, during which participants learn to identify hazards, operate fire extinguishers and respond effectively during emergencies.

Employees’ family members also took part, making the sessions interactive and hands-on.
The inaugural session was attended by senior safety professionals from Vedanta Aluminium and its partners, including Debabrata Sarkar, EHS head, STEAG, and Vinod Mishra, consultant to the project director, STEAG, along with employees and their families.
