New Delhi: Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die Thursday, ending the stormy Monsoon Session that witnessed repeated disruptions and adjournments.
Earlier, the Lok Sabha was also adjourned sine die.
Deviating from the normal pre-lunch schedule, the Upper House dispensed with the Zero Hour and the Question Hour and took up the Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill, which was later passed with a voice vote.
Following the passage of the legislation, Chairman C P Radhakrishnan highlighted the performance of the House during Monsoon Session and adjourned the proceedings sine die.
During the Session that started July 20, the Upper House witnessed disruptions by Opposition parties on various issues, including police action on students agitating against NEET paper leak and alleged theft of donations at Ram temple in Ayodhya.
