Varanasi/Bhubaneswar: As part of Odisha Parab 2026 in Varanasi, an ‘Odia Diaspora Meet’ was organised Sunday, which brought together members of the Odia community, cultural personalities, professionals, academics and entrepreneurs to strengthen cultural, social and economic ties with Odisha.
The programme was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida as chief guest.
Department of Odia Language, Literature and Culture Secretary Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya also attended the event along with Uttar Pradesh Minister for Labour and Employment and Coordination Anil Rajbhar.
The second day also witnessed Tourism Investor and Business-to-Government (B2G) interactions, providing a platform for government representatives, investors and industry stakeholders to discuss collaboration and explore investment opportunities in Odisha’s rapidly expanding tourism sector.
A dedicated Tourism Roadshow showcased Odisha’s rich and diverse tourism potential, with a focus on 15 master destinations, including Puri, Konark, Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, Lalitgiri, Hirakud, Chilika, Bhitarkanika and Similipal.
The roadshow highlighted investment opportunities across eco-tourism, wildlife, adventure and experiential tourism, while also showcasing Odisha’s significant potential in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) segment. Participants were also briefed on the incentive structure available to investors in the state’s tourism sector.
