Among the new actors in Oriya entertainment industry Ankit has carved a niche for himself. The Cuttack boy was cast in the lead role opposite Bengali actress Ereen in the Amiya Swain directed Oriya film ‘Lovers Point’. Besides he also is the hero of Bengali film ‘Gobinda Gopala’.
Ankit started his career in 2013 with the mega serial ‘Paree’ on Sarthak TV. Later he played the main protagonist in ‘Ama Ghara Laxmi’ aired in Tarang TV. He also acted in several episodes of the comedy serial of the same channel, titled ‘Full Gadbad’. The young actor is a post graduate from Ravenshaw University.
Asked about his comfort zone Ankit said, “Between the big and small screens I am more interested in films. I am comfortable with all the genres but my most comfortable zone is romantic films. Besides, I am proficient in dance, action and comedy. I am a director’s actor. I try to render exactly what the director needs to do justice to his script in a film or TV serial.”
In the four-year stint of his professional acting career Ankit has also featured in more than 10 music albums. He has also appeared in some TV commercials.
