Bhubaneswar: In a major step aimed at strengthening the livelihood and income of dairy farmers, the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd (Omfed) has announced a Rs 2 per litre hike in the milk procurement price, effective from September 11, 2026.
The decision is expected to benefit more than three lakh dairy farmers across the State by providing them with additional income from milk production. Omfed said the move is aimed at ensuring remunerative returns to farmers while further strengthening the dairy cooperative movement in Odisha.
