Bhadrak: A 26-year-old man was allegedly killed by his father in Odisha’s Bhadrak district Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in Chunida in the Bhadrak Rural police station area, they said.
The father-son duo frequently quarrelled over financial issues. About four days ago, they had lodged police complaints against each other.
Police said they had called both of them to the station and advised them to stay separately.
However, a quarrel broke out again between them, and Rabi Sahoo allegedly locked his daughter-in-law inside the house and attacked his son Bikash with a sharp weapon.

Bikash sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police said.
Following the incident, villagers detained Rabi and handed him over to the police.
“Investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident,” Bhadrak Rural police station IIC Subrata Das said.
