Bhubaneswar: DJ vehicles will not be allowed during Durga Puja idol immersion processions in Bhubaneswar, with police warning of legal action against organisers and others who violate the restriction, DCP Saravana Vivek M said Tuesday.
The restriction has been imposed to ensure peaceful immersion processions and prevent disruptions to law and order, DCP added.
He also said that playing loud music after 10 pm is also prohibited under Supreme Court guidelines.
According to reports, as many as 48 platoons of police personnel will be deployed across the city to manage crowds and maintain security during the immersion processions.
