New Delhi: PVR INOX Limited has upgraded 150 additional screens across 107 cinema properties with next-generation 3D technology for Ramayana, which released across India Thursday.
The new upgrades update PVR INOX’s 3D-enabled networks to 1,087 screens taking its nationwide 3D-enabled network to 1,087 screens.
By upgrading existing 2D auditoriums, PVR INOX is bringing new viewing
possibilities to familiar destinations, allowing more audiences to enjoy the occasion without having to travel further for their preferred format, a release said.
“There is a particular joy in watching a film in 3D, the anticipation as the glasses go on, the sense of depth as a scene unfolds, and the reactions shared across the auditorium. We want more moviegoers to have the opportunity to enjoy those moments at their local cinema.
“As audiences look forward to ‘Ramayana’, these upgrades give them more choice in where and how they experience the film. Beyond this release, the investment reflects our commitment to keeping the big screen fresh, exciting and worth coming together for,” Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, executive director, PVR INOX Limited, said.
The rollout spans five regions, led by South with 57 screens across 43 properties, followed by North with 46 screens across 29 properties, West with 22 screens across 12 properties, Central with 13 screens across 11 properties, and East with 12 screens across 12 properties.
