Bhubaneswar: The state assembly Tuesday witnessed reverberations of Aam Admi Party’s victory in Delhi. AAP’s triumph over BJP and Congress in Delhi Assembly polls prompted BJD members here to train guns on the two national parties inside assembly, Tuesday.
When BJD legislator Ranendra Pratap Swain was allowed to speak during zero hour, he promptly raised the issue of AAP’s victory and targeted the national parties – Congress and BJP. “The broom (AAP’s party symbol) has swept all in Delhi Assembly polls,” Swain said, adding while people had already removed them (Congress and BJP) from Orissa, they have been now cleaned from Delhi as well. Insinuating that BJD is the only alternative in the state, he said, People have well understood who they should vote for.
People are now looking for an alternative, an alternative political platform and an alternative economic platform. He said, this is evident from the fact that people in Delhi didn’t even allow Congress to open its account. The BJP was also defeated with a huge margin. PNN
