Mumbai/Bhubaneswar, August 1: AirAsia India Tuesday announced the addition of Bengaluru–Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata–Bhubaneshwar and Jaipur-Hyderabad flights. It also announced the addition of one more Airbus A320 plane to its fleet.
Bookings for all the new sectors were opened for sale Tuesday, the airline said. “We received great reception in less than a month of starting the operations to Bhubaneshwar and are happy to intensify by adding another flight,” AirAsia India MD and CEO Amar Abrol said.
Currently, AirAsia has two flights to Bangalore and as many to Kolkata. The new flights will operate according to the following schedule: Bhubaneswar-Kolkata (3pm) and Bhubaneswar -Bangalore (9.35am) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; Bhubaneswar-Bangalore (6.50pm) on Tuesdays; and Bhubaneswar-Kolkata (12.15am) on Wednesdays.
“These flights will improve connectivity for passengers,” SC Hota, director, BPIA, said.
