Bhubaneswar: Odisha state council of All India Youth Federation (AIYF) Sunday organised a state-level Young Women’s Convention at Bhagwati Bhavan chaired by Aparna Routray.
The convention highlighted a range of issues affecting young women across the country, including rising unemployment, growing incidents of violence against women, gender discrimination, and concerns over access to education under the National Education Policy.
Speakers demanded concrete measures to ensure employment opportunities for young women and called for 50 per cent reservation for women in the State Legislative Assemblies and Parliament.
