Bhubaneswar: The state government Friday asked all collectors to cover every gram panchayat (GP) in the state under the Ama Gaon Ama Bikash (AGAB) programme.
In a meeting with the district magistrates through video-conferencing here at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary AP Padhi asked them to henceforth organise the programme at block-level so that all GPs can be covered under it. Currently, the programme is being organised at the panchayat level.
He asked the collectors for converging projects of similar objective and execute them on time. Padhi further instructed them to prepare a project proposal for development of healthcare sector from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund within 10 days. The collectors were also advised to include more non-loanee farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) during this Rabi season.
