Founded by Sister Bernadict and administered by the Society of the Sisters of St. Joseph’s of Annecy India the school is affiliated to the Council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

The school has primary, secondary and senior secondary (science) sections under ICSE and ISC curriculum.

The school has evolved greatly with time and currently has a student strength of 2600 and teaching staff strength 90. The school has attained academic, co-cultural and all-round excellence under the able guidance of Principal Sister Sylvia.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Since its inception the school has been producing excellent academic results. Students have been consistently performing well every passing year and in 2018 the ICSE Board examination results especially have been laudable.

Bipasha Dutta has secured 98.5% and has become the school topper in 2018. Shrestha Mishra secured 98.3% and scored second position while Saisreshth Das, Swamyajit Mohanty and Swagat Nayak secured 98% and stood third position. Besides, 16 students secured 95% marks in the examination thus proving the dedicated, hardworking and sincere efforts put in by the school in churning success their stories.

Students who secured 95% and above marks are Sruti Samrudhi (97.3%), Neha Gantayat (97.2%), Sibasish Rout (97%), Swaroop Patnaik (97%), Ritesh Mohapatra (97%), Sandeep Mishra (96.66%), Meenakshi Katal (96.6%), Preeti Pallavi (96.3%), Debasis Patro (96%), Adyasha Adishree (95.83%), Ankita Patnaik (95.83%), Ishika Patnaik (95.7%), Punyashree Sahoo (95.7%), Shreyas Parija (95.66%), Pragyan Das (95.1%) and Dishant Swain (95%).

Of the 176 students who took ICSE Board Examinations in 2018, 74 secured more than 90% marks in all subjects. Through persistent rise in pass percentage of Class X batch, the school has established a track record of academic excellence.

The school’s excellence was also reflected in its ISC 2018 results with Suvangi Pathy securing 96%, Aparajita Sarangi 93%, Ayesha Adhikari 93% and Abhijit Panda 91.2%.

The students have performed extraordinarily well in Mathematics and Computer Applications, Geography and History by securing 100 out of 100.

Leading Teachers

Kum Kum Mukherjee is an award winning biology teacher who has completed 25 years  in the school and her guidance is a driving force for the institution.

Suman Saurav Mohanty has cracked the prestigious Civil Services examination in 2016 by securing 9th rank.

Monica Priyadarshini (passout of 2003) and Poma Tudu (1996) are IAS officers.

Subhradeep Mohanty, a passout of 1993, is currently Chief Financial officer in Chartered Bank, Mumbai, A school topper as well as an alumnus of IIT Pune and IIT Ahmedabad.

Prativa Mohaptra (1986), currently vice-president of IBM India

Sarita Mishra (passout of 1982) is an Income Tax Commissioner.
