Bhubaneswar: Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) announced revised ‘Ama Bus‘ schedules and route restrictions in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur and Rourkela during Durga Puja.
The measures will be effective between September 27 and October 2, according to a notification by CRUT.
The revised schedule is announced, following the Commissionerate Police traffic regulations, to ensure smooth traffic movement during the Durga Puja festive rush in the major Odisha cities.
In Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, buses will operate between 05:00 AM and 04:35 PM. No services will run beyond this time, according to the CRUT notification.

The Commissionerate Police has also restricted the entry of heavy vehicles into core city areas, including key routes such as Vani Vihar–Sishu Bhawan, Rasulgarh–Lingipur, Jayadev Vihar–Nandankanan, and Acharya Vihar–Airport. Read the full Capital Region schedule here.
In Berhampur, services will be available from 05:50 AM to 04:05 PM. Here’s the detailed schedule for Berhampur.
The notification added that ‘Ama Bus’ services will start at 05:30 AM and continue until 08:05 PM in Rourekela.
Commissionerate Police has also banned heavy vehicles from plying between 2:00 PM and 2:00 AM in the major cities of the state.
According to the notification, heavy vehicles bound for Cuttack and Khurda are being diverted via Balikuda, Chandaka, Pitapalli and Baranga.
