Angul, MIRC register contrasting wins

Rourkela, Jan 15: AK Club of Angul and MIRC scripted contrasting wins in their respective matches of the All India Biju Patnaik football tournament at the Ispat Stadium here Thursday.

The first match was a lop-sided affair, as Angul beat Eastern Railway Sports Club, Kolkata by 4-0. Angul dominated the match from the start and scored through Suresh Kujur (21st, 51^st), Samra Oram (33^rd) and Anand Lakra (81^st).

In the second match, MIRC pipped Yazdani Club-73 1-0. Rajib Lohar got the all-important goal of tie in the fourth minute.
