Bhubaneswar: After the success of Pratikshya, which won the National Award recently, director Anupam Patnaik is ready with his next film, Trikanya. Releasing the poster Thursday, he said that the movie will hit theatres in January. The film features a stellar cast, including Barsha Patnaik, Manoj Mishra, Aman, Sradha Panigrahi, Partha Sarathi Ray, Nishanth Majithia, Sukant Rath, Nivy, and Sijan Mohapatra. The movie delves into the lives of three women hailing from diverse social backgrounds and landscapes, each grappling with their own unique challenges and triumphs, Patnaik revealed.
The Odia film industry has recently been marred by internal disputes and divisions, hindering its growth and impact, admitted the Gangs of Puri director. “TriKanya will act as a catalyst to bridge these divides and bring the industry together, uniting under the banner of Odisha and the broader Indian film landscape,” he said.
