Apply for 1,899 vacancies in India Post before Dec 9

As many as 1,899 vacancies are to be filled up with the new recruitment drive by India Post.

Notably, this recruitment drive is for meritorious sports persons only. Interested candidates fulfilling all the eligibility criteria can apply for the posts at dopsportsrecruitment.cept.gov.in before December 9.

The correction window for the advertised posts will be open from December 10 to December 14, 2023.

Vacancy details

  • Postal Assistant: 598 posts
  • Sorting Assistant: 143 posts
  • Postman: 585 posts
  • Mail Guard: 3 posts
  • Multi Tasking Staff: 570 posts

Total number of posts is 1,899.

Pay Scale

  • Postal Assistant: Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100
  • Sorting Assistant: Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100
  • Postman: Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100
  • Mail Guard: Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100
  • Multi Tasking Staff: Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900

Educational qualification

i) For the posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant:

a) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university

b) Knowledge of working on computers

ii) For the post of Postman/ Mailguard:

a) 12th standard pass from a recognised board

b) Should have passed the local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as of the subjects in 10th standard or above. To know about the local language of a Postal Circle or Division the candidates can visit the Annexture-2 present on the official notification here.

c) Working knowledge of computers

d) Valid license to drive two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (For the post of Postman only). Persons with Benchmark Disability are exempted from the possession of a license.

iii) For the posts of Multi Tasking Staff:

1Oth standard pass from a recognized educatinon board

Age limit

The candidate must not be younger than 18 or older than 27 years as of crucial date. For MTS posts, the upper age limit is 25 years.

Application fee

The applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However, women, transgender people, and candidates from SC, ST, PwBD, and EWS groups are exempt from paying the fee.
