Bhubaneswar: Former National Games record holder Ashish Naik emerged victorious in the Air Rifle Peep sight senior men’s category at the VIIth State Shooting Championship here Sunday whereas Kiran Pravha Nayak clinched the gold medal in the senior women’s category.
Atish Ku Nayak and Nirupama Jena emerged champions in the open sight senior men’s and women’s categories respectively. The junior men’s and women’s categories titles were clinched by Kishan Kumar Sahoo and Dipika Mandal respectively. In the peep sight junior men’s category Anirbad Patanaik took the gold while in the junior girls’ category Kashika Pradhan won the title. The junior women’s Air Pistol event was won by Prangyasu Sahoo while Binaya Biswal bagged the open sight veteran event title. Pilla Ramesh took the top honours in the Air Pistol senior men’s event while the senior women’s gold was won by Prachesa Sahoo.
