College life is a new experience of life. Every student is excited for the beginning of a new life as he/she is about to enter college. But, when it comes to learning, we’re sure making cow dung cakes is not something a student might have thought of.

The prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi recently organised a workshop for students where they have to make ‘upala’ (cow dung cakes). The dean of the social science faculty Prof Kaushal Kishore Mishra taught students how to make these cow dungs.

This is why you wanted everyone to donate to BHU? @VCofficeBHU
Moreover Professor sahab should know that people in villages already know how to make GOHRI and no one needs training for that.
These people are kalank for BHU. @Jitendr18995686 https://t.co/YhFn0OKyKq

A video of the same has gone viral where Professor Mishra is imparting his knowledge and showing students how to make these cow dung cakes.

This video of people making cow dung got viral and several people made hilarious jokes and memes on it. A lot of people commented that village people are already aware of how to make these cow dung cakes while others commented that Universities should be places for higher learning and not to learn how to make cow dung cakes.

Cow dung has been a primary focus for many people in the country. Last year, a doctor from Haryana identified as Dr Manoj Mittal, from Karnal got viral after he stood in the cow shelter to talk about the benefits of cow dung and urine. Not only did he praise the cow dung but also picked up a little chunk of it from the shelter and started eating it.

He went ahead and claimed that eating cow dung purifies our body, mind and soul. He further said that women should eat cow dung for normal delivery and if they eat it, they will never have to go for a cesarean.
