Sambalpur: A bike lifting gang was busted and seven persons were arrested in this connection at Sastri Chhak of Burla in Sambalpur district.
According to reports, three persons driving motorcycles without number plates were intercepted by the police during vehicle frisking.
The accused were nabbed after they failed to produce relevant documents and confessed of being members of a bike lifting gang. Later, they revealed the names of the other gang members.
The accused were identified as Babul Oram, Sukadev Oram, Papindra Singh, Dikhit Sahu, Chagala Nath, Tian Oram, and Jogendra Oram.
Meanwhile, five motorbikes were seized from their possession.
