Nimapara: Some unidentified miscreants decamped with Rs 1 lakh from a businessman near Dhenarapada-Tehabari Road here late Sunday night, police sources said Monday.
According to a senior official of Nimapara police, Badakishore Sahu, a resident of Dehabari village here, was on his way home after closing the day’s business when three masked men waylaid Sahu on Dhenarapada-Tehabari Road here. They attacked him with sharp weapons and snatched away a handbag containing Rs 1 lakh from him,” the official briefed the media referring to Sahu’s police complaint lodged Monday.
The official added that locals rushed a profusely bleeding Sahu to a nearby healthcare facility where his condition is stated to be stable. The police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
