Post News Network

Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janmata Dal’s 18th foundation day to be held Saturday will be a unobtrusive low-key affair, informed party vice-president Suryanarayan Patra here Friday. “BJD will celebrate its foundation day at all district headquarters tomorrow. Party activists, supporters, MLAs and ministers will participate in the function,” said Patra, adding, “The day will be dedicated to farmers. As the state is reeling under drought and farmers are passing through difficult time, the discussions will focus on resolving issues relating to farmers.”
The party leaders have said there would not be any celebration at the party headquarters. Jeevan Bindu, a blood donation programme, would be organised to mark the occasion. BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would inaugurate the programmes. Alleged Central apathy towards the state would also be raised by the leaders during the discussions on the occasion.
