Bhubaneswar, April 12: The differences of opinions among the BJP leaders over the alleged slow progress in CBI probe into chit fund scam has once again exposed the divide within the party. While a section of the party leaders are alleging that the CBI probe has been slowed down in the state, some others including state president are rejecting it.
Seconding BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra’s allegation that the CBI has slowed down its probe and the investigating agency has itself become an accused now, former president of the party KV Singh Deo said, “Mohapatra would not have said this if he did not have any documentary proof. Not only Mohapatra, the people of the state as a whole also have similar feeling about the probe.”
However, state BJP president Basant Panda rejected the claims of his party leaders and said, “I don’t know, who stated this under which circumstances. The chit fund probe is going on in right way under the supervision of Supreme Court and the people of the state will definitely get good results.”
