Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Food Safety team inspected several sweet shops along Jagamara Road Thursday as part of a food safety drive amid Raksha Bandhan.
According to reports, officials checked the quality of chhena and other food products being sold at the outlets. The team also looked for signs of adulteration and stale food items during the inspections.
Some shops were found violating food safety norms, following which officials took action and imposed fines on the concerned shopkeepers.
