Book binder’s son tops OJEE-MBA

Kendrapara: A book binder’s son in the district has hogged the limelight in the state by topping the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) in MBA.

Sk Fallauddin, father of OJEE MBA topper Shadab Anwar, said he ekes out a living by binding books. Arranging funds for his son’s study has been a barrier for him. “I have to sell off a piece of land  in the  township  to meet Shadab’s study expenses,” said a proud father.

Shadab (22) was a meritorious student from his childhood and fetched  good marks in HSC, Plus II and Plus III examinations. “As my son was a good student, I had to sell a piece of land to fulfill the dream of my son to study MBA. Finally, his hard work paid off ,” stated Fallauddin.

Sachidananda Sarangi, principal of Kendrapara Autonomous College said Shadab was a meritorious student. He was the best commerce graduate in the college. It is our glory that Shadab topped OJEE-MBA.

In his reaction, Shadab said “There is no short-cut to success. I was sincere towards my studies. Being topper in OJEE-MBA would inspire me to go after my goal. I have to do well in MBA and get a good job.”

The youth belonged to a family with limited earning. The success of Shadab would be an example and would inspire minority community youths, whose families are facing hardship to make both ends meet,  to achieve success, said district collector Debaraj Senapati. PNN
