Mukteswar Cricket Club (MCC) will organise the NM Bhuyan Memorial All Orissa cricket tournament at the BJB College Ground in Bhubaneswar, March 10-20. Altogether 10 teams will participate in the 40 overs format tournamemt, which carries a total prize purse of `1,00,000.
Saheed Sporting will lock horns with Rameswar Sporting in the inaugural match. The final match will be played March 20. “Almost all the top cricketers of the state will participate in the tournament. It’s a prestigious event and they are all eager to play in it,” stated MCC secretary Prasanta Mohapatra in a press conference at Bhubaneswar, Sunday.
“We have made some special arrangements to counter the heat. We have arranged an ambulance and a doctor and physio will always be present during games. There will be four drink sessions instead of the usual two and the players will be served coconut water,” he added.
