Bhubaneswar, July 18: The Union government has appreciated the e-district Application introduced by the state government in all 30 districts. The Application (edistrictodisha.gov.in) has also integrated with DigiLocker and eTall of the Union government.
DigiLocker is a key initiative under Digital India providing citizens a shareable private space on a public cloud and making all documents and certificates available on this cloud.
Similarly, eTall is a web portal for dissemination of e-Transactions statistics of national and state level e-Governance projects including Mission Mode Projects.
“The e-district application has been rolled out in all the districts. Currently, a few public services like issuance of residential certificate, income certificate, caste certificate, solvency certificate and legal heir certificate are being provided through the single platform,” IT special secretary Rudra Narayan Pallai told Orissa POST Monday.
During the last meeting of state-level apex committee headed by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, it was decided to include more number of services under the platform, he added.
Around of 23 services of nine departments – revenue and disaster management, higher education, heath & family welfare, social security & empowerment of persons with disability, food supplies & consumer welfare, school & mass education, ST & SC development, skill development & technical education and general administration – were enlisted.
A project proposal with a budget estimate of `71.54 crore has been prepared for the purpose. The project would be funded by the state government and the Centre on a 50:50 basis, sources said.
It was also decided to link the e-district platform with the online service delivery software of various departments and also integrate it with Orissa Right to Public Services Act platform, they said.
Recently, online issuance of Record of Rights (land pattas) is being piloted in the districts like Ganjam and Mayurbhanj. A total of 43, 90,936 miscellaneous certificates have been issued through this online system by the end of last month, they added.
