Chandigarh household orders whooping 70 biryanis via Swiggy during India-Pakistan match

As India extended their glorious streak against Pakistan at the World Cups to 8-0, fans celebrated this victory in their own unique ways. On the D-day India demolished the Pakistani side at the Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad, and registered a 7 wickets win while chasing an insignificant target of 192 set by Pakistan. Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma was the leading run-getter for India, who played 85 runs knock in this run chase.

Amid all the celebration stories surfacing on social media, a humourous story was shared by Swiggy on its official “X” account where a family from Chandigarh placed an insane order of 70 biryanis. “70 biryanis ordered by a household in Chandigarh in one-go, seems they already know who’s winning,” read Swiggy’s tweet along with an image. The post has gone viral since then, getting all sorts of response from “X” users.

“86 Vadapav Ordered by me, arrived very instantly… Thanks, Swiggy.” An X user made a funny comment on the post.

Speaking of Biryani, Pakistan had played the first of their two matches in land of ‘Dum Biryani’, Hyderabad and expressed their delight to the overwhelming response they received from the city. The Pakistan team shared multiple social media posts enjoying the hospitality of Hyderabad, spinner Shadab Khan even humorously accused ‘Hyderabadi Biryani’ to be the reason for their defeat against Australia in their warm-up match.
