Mumbai: English film industry star Chris Hemsworth is wrapping up his time in Thailand after spending a hectic few weeks filming Extraction 3. The actor shared glimpses of his stay in the country, revealing that he managed to squeeze in some fun adventures alongside his busy shooting schedule.
Hemsworth took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from Thailand, where he spent his free time enjoying the sea, diving, fishing, posing with his sons, boxing and visiting temples.
He captioned the post, “Finishing up my time in Thailand. Crazy few weeks of filming Extraction 3 but managed to fill the weekends with some fun non-work adventures too! @evanpaterakis.”
The first instalment of the action thriller franchise, Extraction, was released in 2020. Directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo, the film is based on the 2014 graphic novel Ciudad. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi and David Harbour.
The story follows an Australian mercenary who takes on a mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord in Dhaka, Bangladesh. However, the operation takes a dangerous turn when he is double-crossed.
The sequel, Extraction 2, was released in 2023, with the main cast returning. The franchise has gained attention for its action sequences and intense rescue missions, with Hemsworth reprising his role as the mercenary.
Hemsworth began dating Spanish model and actor Elsa Pataky in early 2010, and the couple married the same year. They have three children: a daughter, India Rose, born in May 2012, and twin sons, born in March 2014.
The actor rose to prominence through his role as Kim Hyde in the Australian television series Home and Away before moving into films. His international breakthrough came with his portrayal of Thor in the 2011 Marvel film Thor. He reprised the role in several subsequent instalments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, becoming one of the highest-paid actors in the world.
