CISF fined for ferrying students in its cargo vehicle in Angul

Angul: A fine of Rs 10, 000 was imposed on a Nalco Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) cargo vehicle for ferrying school students, Thursday.

During an operation of blocking and frisking of vehicles, some students of DPS were found travelling in the vehicle of CISF. Angul Motor Vehicles inspector Chittaranjan Senapati not only collected the fine but also warned the security agency of not indulging in such acts in the near future.

Sources said, it was when the checking of vehicles was going on NH-55, Senapati received a tip off that some DPS students were travelling in the CISF vehicle. He went to the Nalco site and waited for it to arrive.

When the vehicle arrived he stopped it and conducted a search himself. He was surprised to see the CISF vehicle indulging in such a shameful act. He not only imposed the fine but also collected it immediately. “I met the commander and warned him not to repeat such an act in future,” Senapati said.
