City workshop inspires beauty pageant finalists

BHUBANESWAR: A free workshop on modelling and grooming for Junior Model International 2019 was organised by Odisha Fashion Villa Group at a city salon recently.

Interacting with Orissa Post, director, Fashion Villa, Abhijit Mohanty said, “On April 07, a state-level competition was held where 65 young participants in the age group 5 to 17 showcased their talent. Five girls Amisha Patra, Srusti Das, K R Santoshini, Shree Bali Dash and Saranya Samantaray were selected from the competition for the next round.”

“We are enhancing the looks of the finalists and preparing them for fashion walk. We are also offering them tips for personality development. It’s kind of a crash course for these young beauties. We really hope they win it,” he added.

The final will be held at Kerala’s Calicut from April 27 to 29. Amisha Patra said, “It’s a moment of glory for all five of us. We are going to face many successful models in the finale. Hence, we are quite excited and nervous too. Now is the time to rehearse, learn the tricks and stand tall in front of the judges at Calicut.”

Another contestant Saranaya Samantaray feels that pursuing modeling as a career is quite demanding as it needs the right kind of training, lifestyle and constant hard work both mentally and physically to stay abreast in the competition.

Many parents also attended the grooming session where they were guided by the experts on how to deal with their children’s celebrity career. It may be noted that in recent times, the state is buzzing with young and successful models.
