Phulnakhara: About 40 passengers had a providential escape after the bus carrying them rammed the rear of a truck near Bamphakuda on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar National Highway 16 here Friday. The accident occurred in the morning when the private bus (OR-05AN-7165) was heading towards Bhubaneswar from Calcutta. Although no injury of passengers was reported, the front of the bus was badly mangled. On being informed, Sadar police rushed to the spot and seized the vehicle. The passengers of the bus attributed the mishap to rash driving and overtaking bid by the driver.
