Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Saturday launched an official web portal www.rebuild.odisha.gov.in for crowd funding for various projects under taken in the aftermath of cyclone Fani.
Naveen inaugurated the portal here at Secretariat. Through this portal, concern departments will be able to elicit public donations for restoration and reconstruction of infrastructures in various sectors including education, anganwadi, water supply in both urban and rural areas and other infrastructure which were devastated due to Fani and that require immediate funding, sources said.
Individuals, corporate houses, PSUs and organisations can contribute to project specific funding through this portal.
Among other contributors, OAS association has donated Rs 5 lakh while Mason Estates has given Rs 1 lakh, Phulbani’s Indian Redcross Society has given Rs10.82 lakh, Hinjili Pancahat Samiti donated Rs2.02 lakh.
Besides, ministers Bikram Keshari Arukh and Badri Narayan Patra have donated Rs 3 lakh (three months’ salary) and Rs 1.94 lakh (two months’ salary) to CMRF.
