Bhubaneswar, August 16: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will hold discussions with investors at Bangalore August 26 as part of the two-day Invest Orissa Meet scheduled to commence August 25, sources at Chief Ministers’ Office said Tuesday.
The state government will hold the investment meet in the IT city to attract big-ticket investments to the state.
It was revealed by the officials that the chief minister, during his visit, is also scheduled to launch the start-up policy of the state government at a workshop on Orissa’s industrial development and investment. He will also unveil the master plan of Info-valley on the occasion, officials said, adding a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will also be signed by the state government with Wadhwani foundation for skill training in educational institutions.
The CM reviewed the preparation of the state government in this regard.
Sources said nearly 50 large and medium industries have been enlisted to take part in the event.
Officials said that internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik would create a sand art at Bangaluru to highlight the event. The state government would also hold cultural programmes on the same evening to celebrate the birth centenary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik.
