Polasara: Police have recovered the body of a 20-year-old college student from the house of Jitendra Sahu in Chadhiapada under Polasara police station in Ganjam district.
The deceased was identified as Sonali Behera, daughter of Suresh Behera of Balichhai village under Kabisuryanagar police station.
A police team, along with forensic experts, reached the spot and began an investigation. A case (691/25) has been registered.

According to reports, Sonali, a final-year Plus III student of Polasara Science College, left home Wednesday morning, telling her family she was going to college.
Sometime later, her body was found at the house of Chandan, son of Jitendra Sahu. Alleging that Sonali had been murdered, the family lodged a complaint with the police.
Following this, Polasara police seized the body and sent it to Berhampur for a postmortem.
Polasara IIC Kaushik Majhi said Chandan and his father Jitendra, have been detained for questioning.
