Bhubaneswar: Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra (Lulu) Sunday intensified the attack against food minister Sanjay Das Burma by producing a picture of the latter with an alleged chit fund scam accused.
“This picture was taken in April 2014 — about 12 days before the election— in a Puri hotel where the election observer conducted a raid,” Lulu said without mentioning the name of the person seen in the picture with Das Burma.
One of the two is hiding in his house, while the other is in Jharpada jail, the Congress leader said and alleged that chit fund companies have helped BJD during the elections.
BJD spokesperson Amar Prasad Satpathy, however, said the picture does not establish any connection between the two people. He indirectly attacked the Congress leader by citing the issue of the Dhalasamanta brothers.
