Anyone who grew up in India are in love with Bollywood movies. But, what if I say that it is for decades, people across the globe have been hooked to Bollywood — the clothes, the dances and personal life of actors that attracts people around the globe.

GERMANY
Bollywood is so popular here. The reason for the popularity of Bollywood cinema in Germany can apparently be credited to Shah Rukh Khan, who is a hit with the ladies. It all started when a German channel aired Kabhi Khushi Khabhie Gham at prime time. The ladies couldn’t get enough of SRK, his net shirt and his sensitive side. When he was shooting Don 2 in Germany, hundreds of local women waited outside in sub-zero temperatures to catch a glimpse of the actor.
PAKISTAN
It makes sense that Pakistan would love Bollywood as much as India, after all we share a history, a language and a penchant for dramatic flair. Though the political situation may be tense, Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan are always welcomed by Bollywood-loving audiences.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The Middle-East is so obsessed with Bollywood, they have a massive theme park dedicated to it. Bollywood celebrities are frequent visitors to Dubai.
SOUTH AMERICA
Kareena Kapoor Khan is hugely popular in Nicaragua and Bollywood movies with Spanish subtitles are a regular feature in its capital, Managua. Parts of Dhoom 2 were shot in Rio De Janeiro and for Dhoom 3, Peruvian pop star Mia Monat sang a Spanish title track which played on local radio stations.
INDONESIA
Any Indian who has visited Bali will be greeted in their local markets by shouts of Bollywood’s celebrity names. Indonesia consumes not only cinema but Indian television as well. Indonesian girls are huge fans of Indian television actors too. Not only are their dubbed shows well-received, Indian actors are also being offered roles on Indonesian television shows as they are huge crowd pullers.
