Keonjhar: A young couple was critically injured while their four-year-old son had a close shave with death as a car they were travelling in was hit by an over-speeding tanker on the Naranpur-Harichandanpur road under Harichandanpur block in Keonjhar district Friday. The injured were Bijay Kumar Sahu and his wife.
The family was on its way to Keonjhar. A tipper coming from the opposite direction hit the car after the driver lost balance on the wheels. The intensity of the collision was such that the front side of the car was completely damaged and the couple was stuck inside the vehicle.
Passers-by came to their rescue and rushed them to Keonjhar district hospital. The husband and wife have lost their limbs. Their son survived with minor injuries.
