Polasara: Police arrested four persons on charge of gangraping a girl and produced them in court Friday. While two of the accused are minors, others are adults.
They have been identified as the victim’s relative brother Sanjay Gouda of Narsinghpali and Babu Gouda of Niminal village. The minors hailed from Khairachata and Muktamaladeipur village respectively.
The adults were produced in court and were remanded in Kodala sub-jail after the court rejected their bail pleas. Meanwhile, the two minors were sent to a juvenile home, IIC Jitendra Kumar Mallick said.
According to the case diary, the incident occurred Wednesday night. The four barged into the house while the girl was asleep. They kidnapped her and took her to the backyard where they took turns on her.
They warned her of dire consequences before fleeing. Acting on a complaint by the victim next morning, police detained the four. During interrogations, they confessed to the crime.
