unagarh: Communist Party of India (CPI) activists gheraoed the tehsil office here to press for implementation of its six-point charter of demands.
The demands included identification of lands of those who have since long been given land documents, distribution of forest land patta, identification of landless people and distribution of homestead land documents among them. A rally was held, led by state party working committee member Damodar Behera, from the weekly market place to the tehsil office.
Addressing the crowd, district CPI secretary Purna Chandra Pradhan and assistant secretary Jagdish Durga spoke.
