Choudwar: As many as eight persons were injured, two seriously, after a bus had a head-on collision with a truck-trailer near Bandal area under Tangi police limits of Cuttack district late Monday night.
The injured passengers are migrant workers who were on their way from Tamil Nadu. The seriously injured ones are drivers of the ill-fated bus.
On being informed, Tangi police reached the spot, rescued the injured and shifted them to hospital. They are undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, police said.
According to local police, the bus with 15 migrants was on its way from Tamil Nadu to Badasinghpur village under Chandbali block in Bhadrak district at the time of incident.
That said, the circumstances under which the incident took place is unclear. Police are investigation into the matter.
