Dabugaon students bat for ban of plastic 

Dabugaon: In a bid to promote the ban on the use of plastic, the students of Government Panchayat High School at Dabugaon in Nabarangpur district conducted an awareness rally here Saturday.

Hundreds of students in a rally marched to the village and created plastic free awareness among the villager. The students shouted slogans against the use of plastic and polythene bags. They also educated the villagers regarding the harmfulness of use of plastic and polythene bags.

They also urged the local residents to boycott the use of polythene bags.

A meeting was also held in the premises of the school in this regarding, where the teachers asked the students to boycott the use of polythene bags and plastic. They also educated the students how plastic and polythene affects the environment.

“Polythene and plastic are one of the main factors that are responsible for environment pollution.” The teachers said during the meeting.

In the programme, head mistress Manju Sahukar, teachers including, Madhusmita Nayak, Subhadra karji, Rajani Patra, Hemanta Kumar Smal, Bideshi Mahankud, Ekbal Husian and Tapan Khosla and all most all the students were present.
