HIMANSHU GURU, OP
Soham Singh is among the chosen few Oriya actors who has earned pre-release popularity, thanks to his abilities in action sequences. A red-belt holder in Taekwon-do style of martial art, the debutante’s film Ajatsatru is expected to hit the screens December 29, 2017.
“In an action sequence of Ajatsatru I’ve executed a long shot atop a Qualis, a SUV vehicle. Normally, in such sequences, actors hang on to a cable as a precautionary measure. But, I executed the shot without any attachment. Of course, they had spread pillows on the ground as I was fighting at a height of 45ft. Action master Deva Devraj from Hyderabad choreographed the fights in the film,” says the actor.
“I am trained in martial arts. I’ve earned the red belt under tutelage of coach Diptiranjan Mohapatra. I am also very fond of bikes and bike stunts. Besides, the drama sequences there are action sequences which are rightly integrated into Ajatsatru,” reveals Soham.
Already, Soham has a second film in his kitty which is due for release in February 2018.
“Ninety per cent of the yet to be titled film has been shot and that is again an action film,” claims the actor.
An MBA, Soham is also an engineering graduate who is behind the production of Ajatsatru.
