Puri: Forest department officials Wednesday retrieved the carcass of a deer from the premises of Talabania indoor stadium here. According to sources, some joggers spotted the carcass in the early morning and informed the Forest officials. The carcass was buried on forest range office premises after a postmortem, sources said. “The deer, aged around 4 years, must have strayed into the human settlement from the nearby Balukhand sanctuary. There were multiple injuries on its body. We can ascertain causes behind the deer’s death after going through the postmortem report,” said a Forest department official.
