Mumbai: Actress Bhumika Chawla celebrates her birthday 21 August.

She is one of those actresses of Hindi film industry who made an indelible mark on the big screen with her first film and won the hearts of the audience. On the special occasion of Bhumika’s birthday, let us tell you some interesting things about her life.

Bhumika was born 21 August 1978 in Delhi. She started her career with modeling. She worked in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri and Punjabi films and made a lot of headlines. Bhumika made her debut in the Telugu film Yuvakudu. She then worked in Telugu and Tamil films for a long time.

Bhumika won the Filmfare Best Actress Award in 2001 for the Telugu film Kushi. She stepped into Hindi films with Salman Khan’s Tere Naam (2003). Bhumika’s character in this film was named Nirajra.

After this, Bhumika received offers to act in many Hindi films. She appeared in the film Run with Abhishek Bachchan in the year 2004. Bhumika again worked with Salman in the film Silsiilay and Dil Jo Bhi Kahey but both the films flopped.

Bhumika again shifted her focus to South cinema. There she acted in several films that were box office hits.

Bhumika was also seen in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni Untold Story. In this film, she played the role of Sushant’s sister.

On personal front, Bhumika married Yoga teacher Bharat Thakur. Before marriage, both of them had dated each other for a long time and tied the knot in the year 2007. In 2014, Bhumika gave birth to a son. Bhumika who is married to a non-film background man is enjoying her married life.
