Bhubaneswar: A five-year-old differently-abled girl was allegedly raped by a relative at Mahisakhal near Badagada Tuesday.
The accused, a 13-year-old boy has been detained by the police.
The matter came to light after a neighbour spotted the girl lying unconscious on the floor with her mouth gagged and blood gushing out of her genitals. The neighbour informed her parents following which a complaint was lodged with Badagada police Tuesday night.
A three-member team of doctors led by an assistant professor at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack is treating the girl.
