Bhubaneswar: The state government will conduct a door-to-door survey to identify left out beneficiaries under Subhadra Yojana after March 31, the last date for submitting applications under the scheme in 2024-25, official sources said Wednesday. Addressing media here, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said officials will conduct door-to-door survey to ensure that no deserving beneficiary is left out of the scheme for not being able to apply within the stipulated time. Parida said the state government has received 1.85 lakh applications under the scheme and the first instalment of Rs 5,000 has so far been disbursed to around 98 lakh women in four phases. “We will cross one croremark Thursday when the first installment of the money will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries in the fifth phase,” Parida, who also holds the Women and Child Development portfolio, said. The second installment of money under the scheme will be released March 8, International Women’s Day, she said, adding, “While disbursing the third instalment, those left out of the women empowerment scheme will receive three-phase money – Rs 15,000 – at one go on Rakhi Purnima this year.” Meanwhile, thousands of women and girls participated in ‘Subhadra Rallies’ at 6,794 places across the state to spread public awareness about the financial assistance scheme.
