The romantic genre is a safe zone for new filmmakers. Perhaps with a conviction that this is true, the Lubun-Tubun pair, credited with the production of several albums, is coming up with the directorial debut Ishqwala Love. The film stars debutant Omm and heroine of Mitha Mitha, Ankita, in the lead roles.
“The film is a love story. There is an item number and the title song is a dance number. The choreography is youngsters dancing in the Durga puja procession. The drama part will be shot in Orissa while the songs will be shot outside, including Ladakh. The mahurat of the film was held a few days back and the script is complete. We will start shooting from July 10-15. We chose Omm because he is a good dancer,” said the director duo.
“I have ample scope to showcase my talent in this film. Successful choreographers Lubun-Tubun are the directors and my dance aptitude will be explored,” said Ankita.
Lyricist and dialouge writer Bapu Goswami said:?“We have romantic, emotional and commercial songs in the film. I have used a keyword, ‘Huke Ho’, in one of the commercial songs.”
Balasore boy Omm said: “I learned dance from Bapi sir and later appearred in a few albums of Lubun-Tubun, who have given me the break.”
LT Production’s first film Ishqwala Love also casts Mihir Das, Pradyumna Lenka, Puspa Panda, Asit Pati, Harihara Mohapatra, Jiban Panda, Riyana Sukla, Kishor, Guddu and Priyanka. Lalit Kumar is the music director and Humane Sagar, Diptirekha, Ashutosh and Prangyan have lent their voice to the tracks. The film is expected to release during puja.
