Dussehra gift for Odisha government employees

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government announced Friday a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees and pensioners by 11 per cent. The hike will have retrospective effect starting July 2021. With this, the DA has been increased from the existing 17 per cent to 28 per cent, a government official.

The Central government had earlier approved DA hike in July this year for its employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent.

It is pertinent to mention, the hike of 11 per cent announced by the Centre came after adding three pending dearness allowances.

Moreover, state governments in Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir hiked DA for their respective employees and pensioners from 17 per cent to 28 per cent, soon after Centre’s announcement.
