Cuttack, March 18: Dutee Chand’s fate in competitive athletics will be decided by the Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) hearing at Lausanne, Switzerland March 23-26. Dutee will leave for Lausanne March 19 from New Delhi.
Currently CAS has allowed Dutee to take part in competitions on a provisional basis. This enabled Dutee to run in the recently-concluded National Games in Kerala where she won gold in the 100 metres.
“I am excited as well as nervous regarding the hearing. I am hopeful that the verdict will be in my favour and I will be able to participate in the international level competitions once again,” Dutee stated Wednesday.
